Get involved

Looking for a way to get involved and help your local community? Or perhaps you are looking for a holiday with a real purpose?

Habitat relies heavily on the generosity of our volunteers who give us their time to help build homes with our partner families. There are a number of ways that you can get involved, both in New Zealand, and overseas through our Global Village programme.

Volunteering with Habitat for Humanity is a great way to learn new skills, meet new people and give back to the community.

Volunteer Locally
There are a number of opportunities to get involved with Habitat for Humanity in your local community.

Volunteer through our Global Village Programme
Team members work alongside members of host communities, raising awareness of the burden of substandard housing and building decent, affordable housing worldwide. Through short-term build trips, team members help create a true global village of love, homes, communities and hope!

Volunteer Overseas
Spend 6 to 12 months living and volunteering abroad! A variety of volunteer opportunities are available in Habitat offices worldwide.
