About Me
My name is Gavin and I am the social marketing and sales manager for Good Magazine. I love nature and I am trying to get my head around companion gardening and permaculture. Eager to help with conservation projects as I have one of my own which I just started. I am also interested in organics, Bio Shelters and bright green technology. But I just love a good protest march, banners, screaming people - can’t get enough of it – must be the mad Irish blood.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the site. Have fun, met new friends and Go MAD!

Bad Taste or Good Point ?

An ad for WWF doing the rounds on the web last week showed several planes crashing into a burning World Trade Centre and compared it to the number of lives lost in the 2005 tsunami. The ad is now banned in the States.

Is it really bad taste or are WWF making a really good point? Have your say! Continue

Kia ora, to all keen volunteers who always wanted to see the bush in the northern Coromandel: check out Moehau Environment Group (www.meg.org.nz) with awesome projects, great feedbacks (in the guest book of the Eco Base - not online... :-) and all sorts of things to help us with.
You can roll in as an individual or as a bunch of people. Main thing" Be keen and weather proof, have some decent shoes (boots and/or gum boots) and don't mind one or the other dead animal to be handled, blisters from track cutting or sunburn form work in the wetland. We will share our enthusiasm, can show you a glow worm cave, will make the kiwis call for you (okay, that's seasonal) or send you on the Summer Holiday trips. Curious... ??? Cheers,
Katharina

Hi Gavin,

That sounds aweome, i will wtite some stuff up and send it through. So do you want me to do 2 seperate pieces, one to go in the mag and one to add to the blog site? Thank you so much for the offer of letting me help write the article. I love good.

There are a few pictures of the band, I can send them through or upload them so you can pick a good one and then get the originals from the band for publishing? I see Christins has joined. Awesome, she should definately go up for an award!

Hi Good. The Hope of a nation tour kicked of last weekend in Auckland where we recieved a 5min slot on Campbell Live (Tue 02 Dec) to help kick off the campaign. The tour will head around nz for the next 3 months (thats if we recieve some finacnial relief and funding as at this stage we have had no luck and are in urgent need of funds - fingers crossed) and then we will hopefully head to America mid next year. Our next show is this weekend in Takapuna and then in Whanganui on Sunday. As a volunteer I have so far helped with organising the event, I was the onsite events manager for the launch event and I also help with media releases and I am currently helping with funding applications and other admins. If you would like any further information please let me know. A feature in your Magazine would be amazing! The Founder is Christina Stroud from the True Potential Trust. She is also releasing a book early next year called 'you are more then this will ever be'. I look forward to hearing from you.
