We're a social enterprise that connects students to community groups and businesses through a knowledge of digital mediums. So far you might have heard of the yMedia Challenge and/or the Wellington Summer of Code...

After studying fashion design, being an elite athlete for 13 years traveling the world, and learning about the "glories" of having money working, I woke up one day ready to go on an adventure...
I booked myself a one way ticket to Australia (how adventurous!), and after some time I had started to discover who I was, what was important to me, and that my true interests were not what I thought they were. The dream of becoming a famous fashion designer dissolved, and the real adventure - that we call life - began...
It turns out that Sport and Fashion are not my thing, and that people and Mother Nature are. I completely emmersed myself in jobs, in people and friends, in projects, in envirnoments of all kinds that were my element. And the good old universe did it's thing... The people I needed showed up, the answers unfolded, and here I am today.
I started out putting two and two together, using my skills and applying them to my true interests to make change, and got involved in many projects including voluntarily running large charity fundraisers, the near start up of a certified Organic and Fairtrade made in New Zealand clothing business, being on the committee of, re-branding, and designing new uniforms for my sports club voluntarily, and now my work involves running a non profit organisation for Youth and the Youth Sector, and running a business in the areas of paper and stationery manufacturing and recycling.
If you asked me what do I want to achieve right now? It would be helping young people be empowered to do what their hearts say and make the change they want to see in the world. And how? By contributing to creating a supportive and positive environment (city/country/globe) where they feel empowered, where they can thrive, be supported, innovate, create, think big (massive!) and not be judged, and be the change they want to see in the world.
I love to travel, I love to eat and drink, I love doing the dishes, cleaning and cooking, baking, I love having long philosophical chats, and also enjoy small talk and a good laugh, I love reading, taking time out, escaping the city, and to simply be, and I really, really, really love the Ocean and meeting new people.
I pretty much just live to live and be surrounded by awesome people, so always feel free to say hello anytime :)...

Thank you so much for joining. What an interesting story so far and at only 23 you have lots more to add! Great to hear of your energy and passion, the world can do with more of it.
With regard to the site, please invite as many friends as you can as we are going to build up to a national awards in June and we need lots of people on board to make it work.
Also if we get 50 members joining a particular charity group we will give the charity $1000 worth of advertising in Good magazine. So please join a group and ask your friends to do the same.
To do this simply join a group and then click on invite more people.
